Hyperion Motors P1913 Data sheet
With the new P19 series motors Hyperion continues the tradition of top performance in motors which perfectly fit your needs. From front to back, only the highest quality materials and components are used. The P19 series have the advantage of high-torque OutRunner design, but are specifically designed for high-rpm applications. Two different magnet arrangements allow you to choose the motor that suits your needs for rpm. As such, P19 series motors are appropriate for direct drive models with these different Kv variations below, which all have torque magnet config and 3.0mm output shafts: P1913-06 - Very fast models, Pylon, Mini Speed Wings For high rpm applications in gearboxes, helicopters, and Ducted Fans, the P19 come in a speed magnet configuration "M", and have choices of 2.0mm or 2.3mm output shaft diameters. See Prop/Battery Data for some example applications.
MECHANICAL DETAILS: The stators are hand-wound in an optimal pattern for copper packing, so we get less resistance for a given number of turns. The stator plates are produced via a CNC process that insures uniformity, and made of a new silicon steel with superior permeability at high induction. The plates are finished with a lifetime anti-oxidant coating, to eliminate losses which can occur due to magnetic shorting from corrosion, and made from thin material for high efficiency. The P19 magnets are carefully selected for the magnetic field strength which gives highest efficiency at the target rpm, and are rounded on both bell and stator sides. The design means that contact area with the bell is complete, and this has two benefits: First, heat transfer is maximized, so the magnets are much less subject to damage from overheating. Second, the full contact with the bell on one side, and matching curvature to the stator on the other, means that the magnetic flux lines are complete and optimally shaped; this means higher efficiency, lower incidence of motor stalling, and smoother starts. The magnets themselves are produced in one of the foremost factories in the world, and are the latest type, featuring both an extremely high temperature rating and high magnetic strength. P19 motors can achieve real-world efficiency as high as 85.1%. While some other manufacturers have claimed better figures than this for similar-sized motors, none of them have been better than 80% efficient in our lab tests, using the same equipment and method as with the P19 tests. Try a P1913-06 torque motor with 5x5 prop and 3s lithium pack, just for fun (17A static, 180W). Hold the throttle wide open during the flight (better be a model that can handle speed!) and check the motor temp after landing. You'll be astonished to find that the tiny 47.5g motor is barely warmer than the surrounding air! Click this link to download an amateur video of P1913-06 3S on WindRider MiniBee flying wing. It's a bit fuzzy, but gives a good sense of the performance possible... (large file, so left-click and 'save to disk' is best) P1913 SPECIFICATIONS
